Brixton Builds: Brother Stroma

Built in the UK, Brother is a family run business with the HQ, studio, workshop and warehouse in Kent. 

We created this beautiful bike for our customer Sam earlier this year. Sam visited our store and spoke to Bek to get his dream bike sorted for his 18km commute from Raynes Park to Euston. His commute mostly involved roads, but also some rougher terrains. Previously, Sam rode a hybrid bike and he wanted a more performant bike that wouldn't compromise on comfort and would give him more back for his efforts.

"I was looking at the Surly Straggler and the Brother Stroma in the shop and online, and think this is the sort of direction I want to go. I saw the Stroma frames are currently on sale on their site. I am 190 cm so would be looking for a 60 or XL frame. I will need it all year round and all weather, so would need to have mud guards and tires that could handle the wet. I would also like a 1 x drivetrain and a mounted U-lock. Outside of that I am a relative novice to bikes so would appreciate some guidance."
