Unlike the name might suggest, the Straggler certainly won’t be holding you back. Think of it as a CX bike with the practicality of a townie and the comfort of a touring bike – ideal for the rough-and-ready roadie.
Constructed from the finest Surly 4130 CroMoly steel tubing, this disc-only frame is built to last. With plenty of options for mounting racks and mudguards, the Straggler is equally suited on your commute or as part of a light touring setup – the rather fetching Chlorine Dream paint job definitely looks the part too! This version is specced with SRAM’s 1x11-speed Apex groupset and mechanical disc brakes, resulting in a seriously robust set-up with all the gears you could possibly need courtesy of the 11-42 cassette. If gears aren’t your thing, the forward-exiting horizontal dropout makes switching to single speed painless and straightforward. The Straggler rolls on 700x41mm Surly Knard rubber but is also available in a 650b configuration if you wish to go down that path.
