The Straggler 1x is Surly’s city-dwelling CX bike with touring capabilities – a killer combination you didn’t know you needed! Built for riding over a variety of surfaces it’s equally comfortable on a wet commute or a weekend gravel excursion.
Forged with heavy-duty 4130 CroMoly, the disc-only steel frame is equipped with all the mounting points you might need, including options for mounting luggage racks and mudguards – specced in an especially attractive Chlorine Dream paint job, we don’t think it looks half bad either! This build is decked out with SRAM Apex 1x drivetrain components for durability and reliable shifting, equipped with a generous range of gears thanks to the 11-42t cassette so you can cruise up any looming inclines. If single speed is more your thing, the forward-exiting horizontal dropout makes switching to and fro a piece of cake. Braking is enforced by SRAM’s Apex mechanical disc brakes, easily maintained and more than adequate in any riding conditions. This 650b-specific Straggler rolls on Surly’s own 650x41mm rubber, perfect for off-road traction and all-around comfort.
